Evan Buswell

Evan Buswell is a PhD candidate in Cultural Studies at UC Davis. He works in the intersections between theory and philosophy, code and computing, and economic history. Evan's current project investigates the relationship between the development of the capitalist credit system and the formation of code and algebraic notation. He works at the UC Davis ModLab as the lead programmer on several games and code art projects. Evan received his master's degree in English from Portland State University and his bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Before entering graduate school he wrote code for the software industry.
